St Thérèse family relics to visit Moate
Relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux and her parents, St Louis and St Zeile Martin, are due to visit the Carmelite Church in Moate on Sunday, July 12.
The visit is being organised in celebration of St Louis and St Zelie's feast day. The parents of St Thérèse, known as 'the Litte Flower', were canonised by Pope Francis in 2015.
On July 12, veneration of the relics will take place after 9am, 10.30am, and 12pm Mass.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 2001 visit of the relics of St Thérèse to Ireland.
An exhibition on the life of St Thérèse and the Martin family, and some of the 2001 exhibition, will be displayed in the pastoral centre beside the Carmelite church on July 12.
The relics and exhibition will then leave at 4pm. All are welcome to attend.
