Buccs touch rugby team shows up well at Greystones event

Buccaneers Touch Rugby put in a strong performance at Round 2 of the recent ITA Mixed Development Touch Series (DTS) in Greystones RFC.

Wins over Enniskillen, Greystones and Old Wesley, and a draw against DSC Wanderers, meant that Buccs went through the round robin phase unbeaten and qualified for the last four of the competition.

In the semi-final, they faced a rematch against DSC Wanderers. This time, the Dubliners came out on top, winning 5-1 before going on to win the title.

Overall, it was a great day for Buccs who were missing a number of key players including the four Copelin siblings. Captain Ben Wolfe was top-scorer with four tries while Most Valuable Player was Aoibhín Tynan who put in a massive shift throughout.
