Athlone Tidy Towns to host biodiversity plan information meeting

Athlone Tidy Towns will host a Community Biodiversity Action Plan (CBAP) public consultation and information meeting in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone on Tuesday, July 28, at 7.30pm.

Athlone Tidy Towns are calling on members of the public to engage with the group as they implement their biodiversity plans for the town over the next five year period.

Athlone Tidy Towns committee member Willie Brady said the group's aim is to "target funding to deliver biodiversity projects in our community", and "align with the objectives of the Westmeath Biodiversity Action Plan 2025 – 2031".

"We are seeking to engage with others in the community to join us on this exciting journey starting with our public consultation and information meeting in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Tuesday, July 28, at 7.30pm," Mr Brady said.

In advance of the meeting any queries related to the Community Biodiversity Action Plan (CBAP) may be communicated via email to athlonetidytowns2022@gmail.com.
