Moran to step aside from Roscommon minor manager role
Roscommon GAA will be searching for a new minor football team manager after it emerged that Shane Moran will not be seeking another term at the helm.
The Roscommon Gaels clubman, originally from Charlestown in Mayo, had a great level of success with the minor team. In two seasons in charge, he led the Rossies to back-to-back Connacht titles in 2025 and 2026, having previously been part of former manager James Duignan's coaching set-up.
In 2025, Moran's minor charges were defeated in the All-Ireland semi-finals by Tyrone (the eventual All-Ireland winners), and this year they exited the All-Ireland series at the quarter-final stage, losing to Derry in June.
