Parts of south Roscommon to be impacted by temporary traffic management

Temporary traffic management on the R357 Shannonbridge Road – which passes through many parts of south Roscommon – will be in place until Friday, August 7.

The traffic management measures are to facilitate Roscommon County Council in carrying out road resurfacing works.

The works, to be carried out by the Athlone Operational Area, will be taking place between the hours of 7am and 6pm. Emergency services access and local access will be maintained at all times, the council said.

As a result of the works, there may be delays to traffic on the above route, the council added.
