Athlone’s Finest six-a-side returns

Athlone’s Finest is back for its fourth year, and it’s landed right back where it all started, Cushla Park in Monksland, home of the very first tournament.

The event will take place this Saturday, August 8, from 12.30pm to 6.30pm and comprises 16 teams and a full day of football.

There will be food from Charcoal Grill and other local spots, live music, and challenges running pitch-side for anyone not playing including sprint races, crossbar challenges, tur of war and mini games.

Whether you’re out there playing or just down for the food and the craic, Monksland is the place to be.

Entry fee for a team of six is €100 with the winning team taking home €500.
