Leonard Cohen tribute show coming to Moate

A tribute show celebrating the work of legendary songwriter Leonard Cohen is coming to Moate's Tuar Ard Theatre next month.

'Thanks for the Dance - The Leonard Cohen Story' will be taking to the stage on Saturday, September 19.

On the night, Cohen Unlimited will bring Cohen’s songs, poetry and stories back to the stage, led by singer Robert Doyle.

"With a full live band, rich vocals, violin, guitars, keyboards and a striking visual backdrop, this is an atmospheric journey through one of the greatest songbooks of all time," said the Tuar Ard Arts Centre.

The show was previously performed to sold-out audiences across Ireland, including in Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre.

Attendees can expect to hear Hallelujah, Suzanne, So Long, Marianne, Dance Me to the End of Love and other classics by the Canadian artist who died ten years ago this November.
