Credit Union marks one year and confirms Saturday local opening
West-Midlands Credit Union celebrated an important milestone with members last week as it marks one year under its new name.
Since merging, and rebranding under a new name, the Credit Union has built on its strengths, creating a larger organisation with enhanced services, greater accessibility and an even stronger commitment to supporting the financial wellbeing of its members.
Reflecting on the milestone, John Doyle CEO of West-Midlands Credit Union said: “Our first year has been one of growth, collaboration and opportunity. The success of our merger is reflected not only in the services we now offer but in the continued trust our members place in us every day. As we celebrate this anniversary, we are looking ahead with confidence and remain committed to providing accessible, affordable financial services that make a real difference to people’s lives.”
Meanwhile,West-Midlands Credit Union has also announced an additional day’s service at its Athlone Irishtown branch, bringing its opening days to six.
From Friday, September 4, the branch will open on Saturdays from 10am to 2.30pm.
The credit union has also revised its opening hours during the week at both the Irishtown and Monksland branches.
It said it made the moves followed feedback from members and the changes represented a streamlining of its opening times across the branch network.
The new opening hours, from Friday, September 4, are Monksland: Wednesday to Friday: 10am – 4.30pm and Irishtown: Monday to Friday: 10am – 4,30pm Saturday: 10am – 2.30pm
The Member Services Hub Team will continue to be available over the phone on 0818 246 497 to answer queries, take card payments or loan applications Monday through Thursday until 5pm, Friday until 6pm and Saturday until 2.30pm.
It said the introduction of Saturday opening at the Irishtown branch is one of the many ways it is responding to the needs of members and making services more accessible.
