Large number on trolleys today at local hospital
There are twenty patients on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar this morning.
That's according to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
The figures reveal 17 patients who have been admitted are on trolleys in the Emergency Department of the Mullingar hospital, with three on trolleys in wards.
Nationally, 571 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning. Some 365 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 206 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
