Sigmar Recruitment invests in Athlone office to meet growing demand

Sigmar Recruitment has announced a renewed investment in its Athlone office, adding two senior recruitment specialists to serve employers and jobseekers across the Midlands.

Sigmar, headquartered in Dublin with offices in Cork and Galway, has operated from Athlone since 2019, with the office previously focused on supporting the wider business behind the scenes.

That has now changed, with the appointment of Tina Cornally as Regional Manager and Peter Casey as Associate Director for Connacht and the Midlands, shifting the office to a client-facing model and expanding its local candidate network.

The Athlone team now covers permanent, temporary, contract, payroll and executive search recruitment across Westmeath, Longford, Offaly, Roscommon, Laois, Cavan and surrounding counties, with an initial focus on engineering and commercial/support roles.

"The Midlands has a strong and growing business base, and until now we haven't had the dedicated team here to properly serve it. That changes now. Clients want to deal with people who know the area and know the local talent pool,” said Tina Cornally, Regional Manager at Sigmar Recruitment

Based in Athlone town centre, the team can meet clients at their premises with as little as 24 hours' notice, and is also looking to grow its own team, welcoming enquiries from experienced recruitment professionals.
