Tang GAA officially launches restored Massey raffle

As part of its ongoing fundraising Pitch and Facilities Development Project, Tang GAA has officially gone live with its raffle to win a fully restored vintage Massey Ferguson 135.

The raffle for the restored tractor is part of a concerted effort by the Tang community this September and October for a series of exciting fundraising events, and everyone is invited to get involved.

All funds raised will support the Tang GAA’s Pitch and Facilities Development Project, benefiting not only Tang GAA but also Goldsmiths LGFA, Drumraney Camogie Club, and Tang National School. The project will help provide improved facilities for current and future generations across the community.

As part of the raffle for the tractor, other prizes on offer includes a segway robotic mower, one-night stay at The K Club, and a voucher worth €500 for Centre Parcs.

On Sunday, September 20, the Tang Tractor Run will take place, with registration from 11am and departure from Joe Fox Memorial Park at 12 noon. Whether you have a modern tractor, vintage model, car, truck or motorcycle, all vehicles are welcome to take part.

The fundraising fun continues with a Drive-In and Online Bingo on Saturday, September 26, featuring an impressive €2,500 prize fund. Participants can attend at Tang GAA grounds or play online from anywhere, making it a great night of entertainment for families, friends and supporters both near and far.

A Table Quiz will take place in Cooney’s Hotel, Ballymahon, on Thursday, October 1, at 8pm, promising plenty of laughs, friendly competition and community spirit.

These events form part of the build-up to the much-anticipated Battle of the Bands Lip Sync Fundraiser - which takes place on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 - with every euro raised helping to develop facilities that will benefit the entire community for years to come.

The committee is calling on the wider Tang community, neighbouring parishes, former residents and friends of the club to get behind these events. The organising committee thanks everyone for their continued support and encourages people of all ages to come along and take part.
