Maryland GAA to host two major fundraising events

Maryland GAA will host its annual golf classic, a fourball scramble competition, on Saturday, October 3, at Mount Temple Golf Club.

The event is one of a number of annual fundraising initiatives hosted by the South Westmeath GAA club to support the development of the club's underage and adult teams, enhancement of playing facilities and general running costs.

Formed in 1957, Maryland have continue to improve their facilities at Fr. Brady Memorial Park in Drumraney.

In recent times, the club has installed a walking track, electronic scoreboard, supporter's stand and a second training pitch at their Drumraney base. They have also carried out an extensive drainage of their main playing pitch.

The golf classic is just one of two major fundraising events upcoming for the club as they plan to host a monster auction in Drumraney Community Centre on Sunday, November 29.
