Padraig Pearses legends help Roscommon to All-Ireland masters victory

A couple of former players from Padraig Pearses GAA Club, in south Roscommon, were to the fore as Roscommon was crowned All-Ireland Masters Shield winners at Fr Manning Gaels GAA grounds, Drumlish, last Saturday.

Paul Kelly captained the Roscommon team and was accompanied on the winning team by club-mate Sean Fahy. The veteran Roscommon team defeated Meath in the final, 1-13 to 2-7. Roscommon last won the Shield in 2018 and followed that up by winning the Plate in 2025.
