Ganlys of Athlone teams up with local volunteer for Heat A Home fundraiser

Bealnamulla native Lisa Malone and local hardware store Ganlys of Athlone have teamed up for a new Heat A Home fundraising initiative.

The fundraiser aims to raise money to provide elderly people living alone and disabled people with home heating fuel.

"I got in contact with Michelle from Ganlys and she was just very enthusiastic to get on board," Lisa said.

"The money will be used to purchase fuel, which I will then deliver to elderly or vulnerable people who need it."

The total sum raised will go towards fuel for vulnerable people living in the community, and will be distributed this December.

Lisa will also continue to run the annual St Kieran's Christmas Dinner, which is now entering its fifth consecutive year.
