Ballydangan man part of Golf Ireland team crowned Tri Nations Cup champions

Ballydangan man Conal Flynn was among the athletes on Team Ireland to be crowned 2026 Tri Nations Cup champions.

Conal is the grandson of Kevin and Mary Flynn from Ballydangan. Team Ireland travelled to the Vale Resort in Wales from Sunday, September 20 to Thursday, September 24. The event is a significant occasion for disabled golfers from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, shining a spotlight on disability golf and the inclusive nature of the sport.

Shane Munnelly and Kate Munnelly led the team with distinction as Captain and Vice Captain, with the squad consisting Martin McGrath, Kevin Cassidy, Philip Quearney, Cathy Fitzgerald, Caolan Munnelly, Cian Arthurs, Conal Flynn, Martin O'Mahony, Shane Keogh, and Paul Kelly.
