Kilbeggan and Roscommon racing fixtures for 2027 revealed

Horse Racing Ireland has announced its fixture list for 2027, including the meetings scheduled for Kilbeggan and Roscommon.

There will be ten meetings held in both Kilbeggan and Roscommon next year, with the action getting underway at the Westmeath racecourse on Friday, April 23. Meanwhile, the action will begin in Roscommon on Monday, May 10 and will run until Monday, October 11.

Following the announcement that Oasis will play Slane Castle on September 4 and September 5, Kilbeggan’s two-day fixture has been moved to the evening of Friday, September 3 and the afternoon of September 4.

All the Kilbeggan fixtures are listed as evening meetings apart from the final one on September 4.

A notable feature of the fixture list is that racing action will take place at Tipperary’s new all-weather track from October 23.

HRI’s Director of Racing Jonathan Mullin said: “The redevelopment of Tipperary racecourse to include a new all-weather track, and its opening fixture on October 23 next year will mark a significant moment for Irish racing. With nine fixtures in total at Tipperary next year, it signals a strategic investment in all-weather racing from Horse Racing Ireland, and the creation of increased opportunity for racing’s stakeholders.”

Overall, Ireland will stage 396 race meetings in 2027, an increase of six on the total number scheduled this year.

Kilbeggan Races: 2027 meetings - Friday, April 23; Friday, May 14; Sunday, June 6; Monday, June 14; Friday, July 9; Friday, July 16; Saturday, August 7; Friday, August 20; Friday, September 3; Saturday, September 4.

Roscommon Races: 2027 meetings - Monday, May 10; Monday, May 17; Monday, May 31; Tuesday, June 29; Monday, July 5; Tuesday, August 3; Tuesday, August 17; Monday, August 30; Monday, September 27; Monday, October 11.
