Natalia Bobak launches new exhibition at Athlone Civic Offices

Ukrainian-born artist Natalia Bobak, who has lived and worked in Athlone for four years, has opened a new exhibition at the civic offices in the town.

The exhibition, which started last Thursday (October 15), brings together a collection of recent watercolour, mixed-media and collage works created in Ireland and inspired by the beauty of the natural world.

Bobak’s work explores the quiet beauty of nature and everyday surroundings, inviting viewers to slow down, discover charm in simple things, and experience a sense of calm and connection with the world around them. Through a gentle palette and thoughtful compositions, she seeks to create moments of stillness and harmony.

Natalia has exhibited twice at Luan Gallery and has collaborated with Athlone Family Resource Centre and Athlone Castle. She recently completed a community mural in Athlone as part of a Family Resource Centre project, working alongside three fellow Ukrainian artists.

Alongside her artistic practice, Natalia continues to study art therapy, exploring the role of creativity in emotional wellbeing.

The exhibition is being held at the Atrium Space in Athlone Civic Offices until November 6, and the public are invited to attend.
