Lifetime Achievement Award for Sandra

Dancezone Director Sandra Julian received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the weekend's Dance Awards Ireland.

The event took place in the The Mansion House in Dublin on Saturday night.

Dancezone has been a success story in Moate and the wider midlands since April 1995, when the school was begun by Sandra Julian with just thirteen dancers.

The lifetime achievement award honoured her remarkable dedication, incredible achievements and lasting contribution over three decades.

Sandra collected her award to a standing ovation from the entire room and Nina Shannon, director of Dance Awards Ireland, and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Field made the presentation.

Sandra was also recognised last year with an award for her Outstanding Contribution to Ireland’s dance industry. Dancezone recently received a Civic Reception from Westmeath County Council to mark its thirtieth anniversary.
