Daytime water supply disruption expected in Athlone

Residents and businesses in some areas on the east side of Athlone face possible disruption to their water supply for a number of hours during the daytime both tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday, Uisce Éireann has said.

In an online update, the water service provider said new connection works would be taking place over the two days which have the potential to disrupt the water supply to a number of areas.

The Ballymahon Road, Clonbrusk, Cloghanboy, Mayfield Grove and surrounding areas of Athlone were listed by Uisce Éireann as the locations potentially impacted.

It said the connection works would be taking place from 10am until 4pm on both Wednesday and Thursday, November 4 and 5.

Members of the public affected were advised that they should allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for their supply to fully return to normal.
