Mindfulness workshop at Luan Gallery on Thursday
A guided evening of mindfulness, slow looking and reflection will take place at the Luan Gallery on Thursday, November 5, 6-8pm.
Titled Fallowing -- A Mindful Immersion, the session will be facilitated by Tara Mulvihill, who is an art therapist and yoga teacher.
The workshop is in alignment with the ongoing exhibition by Fiona Kelly on the theme of fallowness, Allow to Fallow, Allow to Fall Low, which positions the act of fallowing as an important step in regeneration.
Participants are invited to take time and space within the gallery, moving through a series of gentle mindfulness practices including focused looking and quiet exploration of the exhibition.
Drawing on the exhibition’s consideration of fallowness, stillness and regeneration, the evening offers an opportunity to slow down, pay close attention and experience the artworks through a more embodied and reflective mode of encounter.
Fallowing -- A Mindful Immersion will take place on Thursday, November 5, 6-8pm, at Luan Gallery. The session is is suitable for adults and is priced at €15 + booking fee. Pre-booking is essential and can be done here.
