Where are you from?
I grew up in Belmont, Offaly, and now live between there and Ferbane town.
What is your earliest memory?
Walking into our new house my dad built when I was three years old.
How and when did you first develop an interest in music?
When I heard Michael Jackson's Thriller album.
When did Lucid Blue set up?
We originally formed in 2014 with myself, Stanley on guitar and Daniel on drums, with various bass players coming and going.
At the beginning of this year Ciaran joined us and we now feel the band is finally complete and solid.
What is your role with the band now?
Lead singer and keeping my three boys in line!
What is your favourite venue to play in?
It's gotta be Nuts Corner in Athlone. A small venue with big atmosphere and good music.
How would you describe your style of music?
The covers are rock/funk/pop. Our originals would have a mostly rock/funk style as well.
Who are your favourite musicians?
ACDC/Pink Floyd/Aerosmith/Maroon 5/Avril Lavine etc.
Who has inspired you during your career to-date?
All of the above. Also Stanley with originals. He is very creative.
What is your favourite place in the world to visit?
Anywhere beside the sea.
What are your pet hates?
Lateness without a phone call or message.
What's your favourite food/drink?
I'd kill for a chicken korma.
Any special plans or ambitions for 2018?
We're planning to record some original music very soon. Wouldn't mind a gig in the Marquee in Cork at some stage!
