More water restrictions in Athlone area.

Another water restriction tonight


For the third time in less than a week, some 8,000 people in east Athlone will endure water restrictions tonight.
Irish Water said today that the latest restriction, from 10pm tonight to 6am tomorrow was due to essential maintenance.
It said the restriction would will impact approximately 8,000 customers on the east side of Athlone Town, Baylin, Mount Temple, Ories, Garrycastle, Dublin Road, Ardnaglug, Fardrum, Moydrum, Blyry, Killyon Hill, Bonavalley and surrounds in Co. Westmeath. 
The latest problem follows on from a previous restriction on Monday night last attributed to mechanical failure at the treatment plant and one last Thursday night, which was also put down  to a mechanical failure.
Irish Water says it and Westmeath County Council wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this essential maintenance work.
