Athlone branch of B&Q to remain open

B&Q Athlone is to remain open, the company confirmed today, after improved lease terms were secured for the Arcadia premises.

The announcement means that some 45 jobs at the store have been saved, subject to a successful outcome to the overall examinership process.

The Athlone branch had been scheduled to close on May 4 next.
