Roscommon minors to face September showdown against Tyrone

Roscommon's All-Ireland minor football semi-final against Tyrone has been confirmed for Sunday, September 1 at Croke Park.

Although the Tyrone senior team has also reached the All-Ireland semi-finals, the two teams from the O'Neill County will not be playing on the same day. Instead, the clash between the Roscommon and Tyrone minors (throw-in: 1.30pm) will be followed by the senior semi-final between traditional rivals Dublin and Kerry (3.30pm).

In addition to Tyrone, Mayo are the other county with a minor and senior team in the All-Ireland semi-finals, and they'll be involved in a double header on Sunday, August 25.

The Mayo minors will take on Ulster champions Monaghan at 1.30pm, while James Horan's senior charges - the new favourites for the Sam Maguire Cup after last Sunday's sensational win over Donegal - will take on Tyrone at 3.30.
