Athlone secondary school holding online Graduation Mass this evening

A Graduation Mass with a difference will be held for the sixth year students of the Coláiste Chiaráin secondary school in Athlone this evening (Thursday).

The school will celebrate the graduation of its sixth years remotely, with a Mass which that be broadcast online from the Church of Saints Peter and Paul at 7pm.

The service will be celebrated by the Bishop of Elphin, Kevin Doran, and will be streamed from the website: churchservices.tv/athlone/

Deacon Tony Larkin, the chaplain at Coláiste Chiaráin, congratulated the students and said they would be joined by their families, teachers, principal, vice principal and all other staff members for this evening's Graduation Mass.

He added that the preparations for the Mass would be following all of the Government's guidelines regarding social distancing and handwashing.
