Sensational Lowry burns up Doonbeg

Shane Lowry has surged into the lead at the Amigen Irish Open with a scintillating six under opening nine holes in his second round.

The Clara native birdied the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th to catapult himself into pole position as he enters the back nine of his second round today, Friday.

Currently at 12.30pm, he is four shots clear at the top of the field.
