Rose of Tralee receives keys to new Kia Niro EV

Kia Sleator welcomed the Rose of Tralee, Rachel Duffy, to a reception at their Mullingar showrooms last night where she received the keys of the courtesy car she will use during her reign.

Rachel’s car is a new Kia Niro EV, and the local dealership arranged the handover as the Westmeath branch of Kia Ireland, official sponsors of the Rose of Tralee committee.

The evening reception doubled up as the local launch of the new Kia Niro EV, and Sleators are now taking orders for 2023 delivery.

Dealer principal Criostoir Sleator said: “We are proud to have Rachel as the Rose of Tralee, and delighted as the Westmeath representatives of Kia Ireland to provide her car, and it was in celebration of the Westmeath connection that we held the event last night.

“Rachel is lucky enough to be driving one of the first Niro EVs,” said Criostoir, and Sleators will be looking after her motoring needs in the year ahead.

Guests at the event last night enjoyed music by Alex Roe and catering was by Criostoir’s daughter, Kristin Sleator, whose passion is food and who blogs as The Inventor’s Pantry.

Kristin describes herself on Instagram as 'A part time vegetarian creating recipes for fun.'
