Fleadh shuttle buses, special fares, and road closures

All you need to know!

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann '23 is set to kick off in Mullingar on Sunday 6 to Tuesday August 14.

Here's some vital information you will need to access the town during the event.

There are four routes confirmed for the Shuttle Bus service, and a special fare applies for the festival, which can be accessed here.

The four routes include:

Route 1 Campsite to Fair Green (Sun 6th to Wed 9th, and Mon 14th)

Route 2 QTP Car Park – Fair Green

Route 3 Ardmore – Petitswood – Park Hotel

Route 4 Fair Green – St Finians

Bus Eireann Timetables

All Bus Eireann bus stops, including Castle St, Austin Friar St and Train Station, will be relocated to St Paul’s Church on the Delvin Road during the Fleadh. Details available from FleadhCheoil.ie of the following:

Road Closures

The following routes will be closed to vehicular traffic from 10am on Sunday August 6 until 4am on Tuesday August 15

• Oliver Plunkett Street

• Pearse Street

• Austin Friar Street Lower

• Spout Well Lane

• Castle Street

• Southern end of Harbour Street

• Church Avenue

• Church Lane

• Blackhall Street

• Blackhall Place to Town Band Hall

• Blackhall

• Mount Street Gardens

• Gaol Hill

• Auburn Road

• Mary Street

• The Green Bridge to Railway Station

• The Green Bridge

• Railway Row

• Grove Street

• Dominick Place

• Martins Lane

• Bishopsgate Street

• College Street

• Eastern end of Patrick Street

• Southern end of Green Road

• Western end of Friars Mill Road

Parking will not be permitted on these streets during this time. Barriers will be placed preventing vehicles from entering these streets, supervised as required.

Servicing of premises will be permitted each morning between the hours of 4am and 10am during which time premises can organise deliveries, maintenance etc.

Vehicular access to the pedestrianised areas (streets listed above) will be fully restricted and enforced.

Note: Vehicles remaining in these zones after 10am will be towed away by a nominated tow-truck operator.
