Funeral details announced for Athlone mother who died after tragic road accident

The funeral of Irene Lynch, the 34-year-old Athlone woman who died as a result of a tragic road accident, will take place over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Ms Lynch, of St Ruth's Park, Athlone, died at University Hospital Galway on Monday, ten days after the accident in the Menlo area of Galway city.

The details of her funeral have now been announced. She will be reposing at her residence on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm, and on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm.

Her funeral Mass will then be held on Monday at 11am, in Saint Peter and Paul's Church, and will be followed by burial in Coosan cemetery.

Irene Lynch was predeceased by her infant daughter, Lauren, and her grandparents.

He death is deeply regretted by her heartbroken son Daniel, daughter Isobel, parents Pat and Anne, sisters Dymphna, Marcella, Marina and Naomi, brothers Pat, Stephen and Breen, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends.
