Temperatures to remain high but rain could be on the way
Temperatures are set to get as high as 18 degrees in the week ahead, but Met Éireann has warned of rain coming into the weekend.
There were highs of 21 degrees across the country in the past few days, as people enjoyed the sun over the weekend.
The warm weather is set to continue on Monday, mostly dry with sunny spells improving as the day goes on. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.
Monday night will be a dry and largely clear night with isolated patches of mist and fog forming. Lowest temperatures of five to eight degrees in light variable winds.
Tuesday will also be dry with sunny spells and scattered cloud, with temperatures also set to get as high as 18 degrees.
Wednesday will see a slight drop in temperatures, although it will be dry and sunny for the most part, but there may be showers at night. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees.
While there is some uncertainty in the forecast for Thursday, current indications suggest there is the possibility of clouds and showery rain spreading northwards over the country through the day.
Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in a moderate east to southeast wind.
