Appeal for information after 'major dumping' at Moore graveyard
An appeal for information has been made by Moore Community Office after 'major dumping' of household waste took place at Kilbegley graveyard.
The incident took place on Friday, June 26, between the hours of 6pm and 10pm.
"We need your help to get to the bottom of this act of illegal dumping," a post to the Moore Community Office page read.
"The size of the dump leads us to believe that this was thrown from a van or a vehicle larger than a regular car."
Those with any information on suspicious activity in the Kilbegley or the surrounding area are asked to contact 086 196 1491.
The group said the incident is "disappointing and disheartening".
"A lot of work has gone in to keep our community litter free, particularly by volunteers who give up their valuable free time.
"However, the level of this latest dump of household waste is a health, and animal welfare issue as well as a general litter issue."
