Emergency services attend scene of Moate crash involving car and bus

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a car and a bus shortly before lunchtime today (Friday).

The Garda press office said the incident happened on the R446 at Farnagh, on the Athlone side of Moate.

Gardai and an ambulance were in attendance at the scene, but a Garda spokesperson said no injuries were reported.

Temporary traffic diversions were in place for a time, however the site of the collision has since been cleared.

The Garda spokesperson said enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing.
