Roscommon SFC semi-final dates confirmed

The dates and times of the two Hodson Bay Group Roscommon Senior Football Championship semi-finals, in which two clubs from south of the county feature, have been confirmed.

Reigning senior football county and provincial champions St Brigid's, will play Strokestown in King & Moffatt Dr Hyde Park Roscommon on Sunday, October 4, at 3.30pm.

The teams met in the group stage of this year's championship when the Kiltoom club saw off the challenge of their North Roscommon opponents by one point.

Interestingly, Strokestown are managed by former Athlone senior football manager and Marist College teacher Eoin Jordan.

Meanwhile, Padraig Pearses open semi-final proceedings at the county ground when they play Boyle on Saturday, October 3, at 4.30pm.
