Shield success for Moate CS in Interfirms Blitz

Moate Community School claimed Shield honours at the LGFA Interfirms 7s competition last Saturday.

Captained by Michelle Delaney, Moate CS got the better of the Irish Prison Service in the final, running out narrow winners by 0-4 to 0-3. The competition was held at the GAA National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown.

The Moate CS team included vice-principal Fidelma Quinn and all members are well known as either LGFA players or coaches.

Meanwhile, the Irish Defence Forces team won the LGFA Interfirms 7s Cup, having finished as runners-up in the previous two competitions.
