Athlone Sunshine Club to switch on Christmas tree lights at Civic Square

Athlone Sunshine Club, a youth club for people with disabilities from Athlone and the wider Midlands region, will switch on the Christmas tree lights at the Civic Square on Sunday, November 29, at 3.30pm.

The Athlone Sunshine Club is a local social and youth club run by the Athlone branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) Athlone branch.

The club is organised by volunteers, parents and Irish Wheelchair Association staff and is funded entirely by donations from the public.

The Athlone Festival & Events Group promise an evening of festive entertainment following the official switching on of the Christmas tree lights with a guest visit from Santa Claus.
