Marist and Our Lady's Bower join forces to stage ‘All Shook Up’

After weeks of preparation, Athlone secondary schools Our Lady’s Bower and the Marist College will present their electrifying production of 'All Shook Up' this week.

Running from this evening (Wednesday, February 4) to Saturday, February 7, the show will get underway in Athlone's Dean Crowe Theatre at 8pm each night.

Audiences should get ready to rock, roll, and fall in love with this high-energy school musical packed with laughter, heart, and the unforgettable songs of Elvis Presley.

Set in a small, conservative town in the 1950s, 'All Shook Up' follows the arrival of a guitar-strumming outsider who shakes things up, challenges old rules, and inspires everyone to follow their hearts.

As secrets are revealed and love stories intertwine, the town is transformed through the power of music, self-expression, and believing in who you truly are.

Bursting with iconic hits, hilarious mix-ups, and feel-good moments, 'All Shook Up' is a joyful celebration of youth, freedom, and the courage to dance to your own beat — perfect for a school production that will leave audiences smiling long after the final bow.

Our Lady's Bower and Marist College said they would like to thank the students involved for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the lead-up to this production, as well to the production team for its invaluable support.

The schools have extended a special thank-you to director Colin Hughes, musical director Danielle Hyland, assistant director Rebecca Mooney, stage manager Rebecca Collins, and set designers Richard Thompson and his team of students, whose guidance, creativity and commitment brought this show to life.

They have also acknowledged the Transition Year coordinators, Michael Loftus and Ciara Finneran, and the many members of staff who have assisted behind the scenes of this production.
