Moriarty's winning streak continues with course record in Hollywood

Athlone golfer Colm Moriarty's winning streak continued at the weekend, as the Glasson Lakehouse professional set a new course record (66) to win the KPMG Hollywood Lakes Pro-Am in Dublin.

Moriarty's six under score saw him emerge victorious, with Hollywood Lakes Golf Club describing his performance as 'a brilliant achievement and a memorable day on the course'.

In May, Moriarty started his competitive season in fine style when winning the Premier Pro-Am at Thurles Golf Club, claiming the honours by shooting a six under round of 66 to win the tournament by two shots.

Moriarty also claimed the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Irish Club Professional Championship at the Palmerstown House Estate in Johnstown, Kildare in September of last year. He also savoured success on the double when winning the Limerick and Newcastle West Pro-Am competitions last August.
