Leveraging the knowledge and expertise of its founding directors, Road Control has successfully delivered over 1,000 projects nationwide. Key works include traffic management during surfacing and road realignment schemes (N80, N81, R148, N51), a 5.6km watermain installation along the R132 in Co. Fingal, 2km of footpath upgrades in Maynooth, and several Active Travel Schemes, including the N31 Coastal Cycle Route in Dún Laoghaire and the Clontarf to City Centre route in Dublin.

The company has also provided traffic control services for rejuvenation projects on Church Street, Athlone, and on Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, as well as providing 24/7 support for the mobile crane industry in challenging environments. This track record is supported by a highly experienced team and continuous investment in innovative technologies. Since its founding, the Dublin-headquartered company has built a strong reputation for designing and executing high-standard traffic set-ups for regional, national and motorway projects across the Republic of Ireland.

The company's decision to establish the Westmeath hub was driven by rising demand for specialised traffic management, safety set-ups, and bespoke road signs in the central and western counties.

Regional Contracts Manager, Alexandru Badasca, highlighted the strategic advantages of the new location.

"Athlone is the perfect logistical anchor. By establishing a permanent base at Blyry Industrial Estate, we are drastically cutting down mobilisation times for our crews. Whether it is a planned lane closure on a national route or a rapid-response call-out in the middle of the night, we are now right on the doorstep of the major regional arteries."

The new facility at Unit 27, Blyry Lower, Athlone, represents a major milestone in the company’s regional growth and brings skilled employment opportunities locally, ranging from local administration roles to certified Traffic Management Operators (TMO) and Temporary Traffic Operations Supervisors (TTOS). In line with company standards, all new hires at the Athlone depot will undergo a rigorous onboarding process, including multi-stage vetting, local site training, and a mandatory digital safety induction before working on live roadways. With the Midlands continuing to see significant infrastructure investment and utility upgrades, the arrival of a highly capable, digitally enabled traffic management specialist is a timely addition to the local supply chain.

The Road Control Athlone Depot is located at Unit 27, Blyry Lower, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 YY36.
