North West has said she would like to get a “regular job” working at Starbucks next year.
The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is already developing a music career and released her debut EP N0rth4evr in May.
Speaking to Dazed magazine, West was asked if she was not an artist, what would she be doing.
She said: “What would I be? I still wanna work. I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess.”
The rapper, who currently sports blue hair, said she is not interested in doing “bad stuff”.
She explained: “Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff. All I want is blue hair and piercings.”
West said piercings help her to feel like her “full self” and she would like to get the bridge of her nose pierced but she is “not allowed”.
Describing her idea of the “perfect day”, West said: “I don’t like to rest a lot. I like to get stuff done.
“So maybe just going to rehearsal and then going to the studio; that’s a perfect day. Or having a big show would be the most ideal day.”
West listed Bktherula, Baby Osama and Babyxsosa as artists she enjoys and said Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night is her go-to karaoke song.
West’s EP, which features six songs and is 11 minutes and 23 seconds long, was released on May 1st, 2026 and deals with the teenager’s perspective on being a celebrity child.
She made her debut solo performance at the Summer Smash Festival in Chicago to promote the record.
Several members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, including West’s aunt Khloe Kardashian, her uncle Rob Kardashian and her grandmother Kris Jenner, all shared pictures on their social media listening to her music.
West was born in June 2013 while her parents were dating.
They became engaged in October that year and married in May 2014.
They also had three other children together – Saint, 10; Chicago, eight; and Psalm, seven – before divorcing in 2022.
