Athlone Springs Hotel to sponsor Buccaneers

The ATHLONE SPRINGS HOTEL was unveiled as Buccaneers new title sponsors at a pleasant, well attended function in the hotel. The sponsorship partnership will run for an initial two year term. Speaking on behalf of the club, President Raymond Duffy gratefully acknowledged the tangible and generous support of the Athlone Springs Hotel. Clubs simply cannot operate without financial back-up particularly in these most challenging of times. This sponsorship was described as all the more significant in the present climate, and was a mark of confidence being expressed by the hotel. His feelings were echoed by those present. Ray passionately, as always, urged club members for their patronage of the Athlone Springs Hotel. Paul O'Meara, Managing Director of the Athlone Springs Hotel, welcomed everyone and, for him, getting involved in sponsoring a rugby club such as Buccaneers was a personal delight. Both the club and the hotel were integral parts of the community. He wished Buccaneers every success and enjoyment at all levels throughout the season and looked forward to a good working relationship with the club and its members and players. Rooms are fitted out to a very high standard while the Zen Leisure and Fitness Centre is the hotel's jewel; this modern facility being the largest in the Athlone region.
