Athlone Tidy Towns opens entries for 2026 Garden, Estate and Wildflower competition

Athlone Tidy Towns has officially opened entries for its 2026 Garden, Estate and Wildflower (Biodiversity) Competition, inviting residents and community groups across Athlone to showcase their outdoor spaces.

The annual competition celebrates attractive gardens, well-maintained estates and biodiversity-friendly planting, recognising the efforts of those who help make the town a greener and more colourful place to live.

Categories include small, medium and large gardens, wildflower (biodiversity), small and large estates, and estate wildflower (biodiversity), offering opportunities for both individual gardeners and residential communities to take part.

Organisers are encouraging anyone with a garden or estate featuring colourful flowers, wildlife-friendly planting or an outdoor space they are proud of to enter this year's competition.

Entry forms can be completed and submitted by email to athlonetidytowns2022@gmail.com]. The closing date for entries is Friday, July 17.
