Quarter-final pairings confirmed for Westmeath IFC

Fresh from their six point win over Ballymore in their final Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship Section B game in TEG Cusack Park on Saturday, Rosemount will play the same opposition once again in the quarter-final stage of the competition.

The game is one of two quarter-final games taking place at Westmeath GAA headquarters this weekend.

Rosemount and Ballymore will throw-in on Saturday at 3pm, while Sunday will see the meeting of Shandonagh and Ballinagore at 3pm.

Shandonagh were demoted to third place in Section A despite their win over Milltownpass on Sunday, but they will be favourites to advance over an improving Ballinagore team who confirmed their place in the knockout stage of this year's championship with a one point win over St Mary's Rochfortbridge on Saturday.

The draw for the intermediate football championship semi-finals have also been determined.

Rosemount or Ballymore will face Milltown, while St Malachy's will play the victors of the Shandonagh and Ballinagore tie.
