Nineteen patients on trolleys at local hospital this morning

Nineteen patients are reported on trolleys this morning at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

The figures were provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

Fourteen of the patients are on trolleys in the emergency department and five on wards.

Nationally, 511 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

328 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 183 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
