Kilbeggan engineering firm in running for two industry awards
Kilbeggan based Midland Mould and Engineering has been shortlisted in the Irish Steel Awards for its Coastal Protection project, and the team are looking forward to the awards event this Friday, October 16, at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.
The nomination recognises their work designing and manufacturing specialist Tetrapod moulds used to produce concrete units that help protect coastlines against erosion.
Paul Finnerty, operations manager, said: “As an Irish engineering business, we are proud to see our specialist manufacturing work recognised at a national industry level. The project highlights the important role that precision engineering, design and manufacturing can play in supporting coastal protection infrastructure.”
