Tubber's Megan teams up with Glór Tíre finalist for new single

Tubber native Megan O’Hara has teamed up with fellow Glór Tíre finalist Ryan Lynch for a brand-new duet, ‘10,000 Nights of Thunder’.

The pair first became friends while appearing on TG4’s Glór Tíre in 2026 and after getting to know one another during the series, the idea of recording something together quickly followed.

Rather than choosing a traditional country duet, Ryan and Megan decided to do something a little different, putting their own spin on the upbeat Alphabeat track '10,000 Nights of Thunder'.

With its infectious pop energy, strong harmonies and lively rhythm, the song gives the two singers the chance to show another side of themselves while still keeping the personality and storytelling that their country audiences know them for.

Growing up, Megan always had a love for music, but it was her appearance in the 2026 Glór Tíre competition that really put her name on the map. Performing with her mentor, Michael English, Megan has since gone on to share the stage with several other well-known artists.

Performing from a young age, Megan has developed her sound within the Irish country music scene and regularly performs alongside her mother, Teresa, as part of The Band Sí.

Megan said: “I just knew from the moment I met Ryan that our energy and passion for music was a match, which translated really well into us working together. ‘10,000 Nights of Thunder’ is a perfect storm of both of our personalities and music styles, and I can’t wait to see everyone enjoy it as much as we do!”

Ryan, who is from Strabane, Tyrone, said: “Megan and I got on brilliantly during Glór Tíre, and we always said it would be great to record something together. We didn’t want to go for the obvious country duet, and ‘10,000 Nights of Thunder’ just felt like the perfect song. It’s upbeat, it’s fun, and it has that great jive and dancefloor feel to it. We had such a good time recording it and I think people will hear that in the track.”

His career has included performances across the UK and internationally, television appearances including The Voice UK, and performances with Irish harmony group **The Celtic Harps, which he founded in 2018.
