Traditional turf cutting coming to local area

A morning of traditional turf cutting is set to take place in the local region this weekend.

Hosted by South Roscommon Vintage Club, the event will be happening at Ragharabeg bog, on the Roscommon side of Shannonbridge, on Saturday, July 11 (11am).

Using the Slane, Turf Barrow and Bogie, the event will also include a bucket collection with the proceeds going towards Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation.
